This is a cool little arrangement the instructor created using a sunflower. She created a slit through the stem and threaded a leaf through it. Place everything in a floral frog and into a vessel, and you have a beautiful, minimalist arrangement in minutes.
This is an arrangement I created using 3 lilies, a pussy willow, a branch and a leaf. Using odd numbers of each element creates balance.
The items you need are simple — a vase, a floral frog, some rocks, water and your natural pieces for your arrangement.
I really enjoyed the class, as did my fellow attendees, and hope to continue pursuing Ikebana as a hobby. I will most definitely be going back for future classes! I’ll leave you with some Ikebana arrangements to inspire you!
